Demons (Diplo Remix)

OOOOOOOH yes. Love me some Sleigh Bells. With Diplo remixing…what can go wrong?

OOOH RIGHT.

Sleigh Bells recently released their album Reign of Terror, and Diplo was hot to jump on it. I can’t say I like this album as much as their last album. However, this remix has turned me back onto it.

Alexis Krauss’ voice sounds surprisingly right within the EDM world. “Kids” off their last album had electronic influences and it was probably my favorite. The overlay of her vocals on their tracks makes it sound more epic. The eventual build up of this remix has the best kind of stabby synth. It isn’t overpowering either. Could be played for people who aren’t as much into the dubstep scene, because it isn’t all WUBWUBWUBby. The second build up is different. It has a quiter bubbly sounding synth that is equally hot.
