Dearest (I’m So Sorry)

Now for anyone who doesn’t know I have a secret obsession with female fronted rock bands.  I have a playlist on my iTunes with 1733 girl fronted rock songs. And I know it isn’t complete. Anyways.

Picture Me Broken is a relatively new band forming in 2005 and now getting some noteriety with their first full length studio album called Wide Awake. I’m pretty sure this video popped up while I was watching music videos for other girl rock bands, and I was like ..

and then that first guitar riff kicks in and Im like

I was surprised, to say the least. The melody is great with the lyrics guitar chord switch off. Always great in any rock song. Bravo. The lyrics are also quite good.

“Dearest I’m so sorry your disturbed. You know I hang on every word. With each breath you take, I think I’ve learned. CAREFUL YOU MIGHT GET BURNED.”

But wait. The second verse continues as normal then right before the chorus. AN UNEXPECTED TWIST.

“I can’t find the words to say this”

Intense scream vocals come out of no where from her. Not many can mix a good voice with screams that sound like they’re coming from her throat. Either way. Layla Allman DOMINATES
