Super Dope (feat Whiskey Pete)

That this track is super dope.
This track I randomly found on beatport. To my amazement it is apart of a remix EP. And let me tell you something kiddies. If you are into electro house
LISTEN
TO
EVERY
REMIX.
They are all fucking gold. I rarely find remixes to a song that I like a LOT, let alone all of them on a single EP. The Appocalypto has to be my favorite though. It sounds like a bass trumpet raiding the dance floor in search of virgins to take home to the EDM Gods.
And as for the original?
Yup yup. Super Dope.

Disintegration (feat Dita Von Teese)

AT LAST I HAVE RETURNED.

Bringing you this very interesting video starring burlesque hottie Dita Von Teese. This track starts off with a dark wavy dance beat as Dita hums over in a synthed out version of her voice. It works with the overall feel of the track.

The chorus is the catchiest part with high pitched vocals yelping “Save my loooooove for you!” Then the post chorus break:

BOOM. Blazing electro beat.
The dark vibes accompanying the sexual frustration and imminent destruction cause by our 50’ house wife star Dita Von Teese really adds to everything. Love this track 5ever.
Grab it before its big!

Ohay qurl. You been gone for a minute. You always poppin with slow music…oh okay..I guess Ill listen to your new track…sure why no-HOLY HELL.

Ladies, grab hold of your dollar store wigs, because Leona ain’t fuckin with no .99 cent menus today.

So I start listening to this track, and it has a dubstepish tempo style to the beat. And I was all like hmmm

It slowly starts to get faster as Leona chants beautifully over the rising tempo of the track.

Then….the unspeakable happens….

AND ILL LOVE YOU WITH MY GLASS HEART.

INSANE.

The Zedd-esque bass snarls through ripping off those cheap wigs I warned you about along its way, like a bass tornado. Leona, you are going in. Now despite my greatest wishes, this was the only EDM inspired track (excluding Collide’s Remix) on the new album.

She still is perfect looking to match her perfect voice. I guess I’ll forgive her. THIS TIME

Top 10 Remixes of 2012

Here is my top 10 for remixes of the year. These are tracks I could hardly contain myself from playing at all of my big gigs this past year. Whenever I had a gig that I knew was gonna be off the hook, these songs made the set list.

10. Doctor P: Neon (feat Jenna G) (LabRat Remix)

Beautiful vocals influenced by the EDM scene mixed with a rage filled dubstep drop. Jenna G’s vocals are perfect over this remix. Bravo to LabRat on this one.

UNDANEATH YA NEON ^^^^

9. Yolanda Be Cool: Before Midnight (Angger Dimas Remix)

Released as the headlining promo track for Yolanda Be Cool’s new album, Angger Dimas’ remix of Before Midnight starts off heavy trap influence beat leading up heavy wobbles mixed with bleeping synth. The ever interesting vocals on Yolanda Be Cool tracks had an interesting piece to the mix. Almost like an opposites attract feel.image

Attracted yet?

8. Krewella: Alive (Pegboard Nerds Remix)

Probably one of my favorite house tracks of the year, Krewella has the most beautiful vocals for this track. Pegboard Nerds completely change the vibe of the song, but in the best way possible. Pegboard Nerds turn the pretty house song, to a melodically heavy dubstep BANGER. I want to windmill head bang while spinning in a circle, while hula hooping to this song. Sadly I am not a hot raver girl.

Here I am

7. Oh My!: Dirty Dancer (Alvin Risk Remix)

This song took me by total surprise. One of those tracks where I saw the name and I was like “hmm dirty dancer..maybe its a fun slutty song”. Total opposite. I found two happy go lucky British pop girls talking about how they AREN’T sluts. And yet? I LOVE IT. Alvin Risk turns the pop dazzler into a moombahsexmotronic bonanza. Also the tv swear bleep in the song makes me smile as well. Alvin Risk did good things this year, but I wanted to make this list more well rounded.

6. Knife Party: Internet Friends (Revolvr Bootleg)

Revolvr made hands down the best remix of this song to date. Making a remarkable likeliness to the original robo-woman, he hads a few extra lines to this track, the best being “Oh my God. It’s this fucking song again.” Seriously. But he manages to vamp up the main drop, and even had a separate break with slut drums giving it a dubstepish vibe. #swag

Real internet friends will reblog this….

5. Bodyrox: Bow Wow Wow (feat. Luciana & Chipmunk) [Bluestone vs. Loverush Extended Mix]

Mmm. This remix is sexual. All it takes is the wobbley verse, and Luciana’s hot English accent as she spits her lyrics of everything she don’t want in life. “NOO BULLSHIT, NO CHAMPAGNE, NO FALSE LOVE NO MIND GAMES” Yassss Luciana. never disappoint me. Chipmunks verse wasn’t thrilling to be honest in comparison to Luciana’s. The original version of this song just doesn’t do it for me at all though. It is slower, and less amped up. This remix takes the cake…….

4. Yelawolf: Daddy’s Lambo (Terravita Remix)

Yelawolf’s voice alone is enough to get me going. Terravita adds a filthy drop to this track. Only sad part is that it isn’t longer.

3 Knife Party: Fire Hive (Krewella Fuck On Me Remix)

This is my most listened to track this year in terms of remixes. Krewella are absolute animals. Pushing out original tracks, an EP and remixes with adding vocals on numerous tracks this year? They’re unstoppable. I don’t know how they come up with such insanely catchy melodies for their tracks. One thing is for sure, Krewella has themselves my addiction RAH AH AGH.

Who caught that?

2. Gotye: Somebody That I Used To Know (Hyper Crush Remix)

This remix is so high on the list simply because I did not like this song until I heard this remix. The deep bassy synth over Gotye and Kimbra’s smooth vocals, leading up to an insane progressive house drop. It is a deadly combination of ingredients. I heard this remix while out several times too, so I know I’m not crazy. Hyper Crush should make more remixes. All of their other remixes are quite good as well.

1. Medina: Forever (Jean Elan Remix)

Oh. My Hell. This track I honestly never would have heard unless my friend wasn’t downloading random remixes of random everything. He played maybe 10 seconds of this song and I was like

image

I also had never heard of Jean Elan before this. The insane bass for this track over Medina’s robotized and flanged vocals make for a Hades hot electro house track. But that isn’t all. The chorus tricks you into a progressive heavy break. Huge build up with only the help of a few claps to keep you moving leading back up to and even more vamped up version of the beat from the beginning. I will probably drag this track into 2013 with me playing it at a few more big gigs, simply due to this beat.

This is a re-up better quality version of my mashup of Zedd’s Shotgun and Frank Skis Tonys Bitch Track

Jump (Sizzle Remix)

Are you guys ready to learn how good remixes work?

My good friend Sizzle here has taken a few steps into making a good remix.

1. This song is brand fucking new. If DJ’s wanna play it, they will be looking for remixes of it, and usually good ones don’t pop out too soon.

2. This remix incorporates a tempo change. Meaning there is a break with the chorus at the normal tempo of the song, as opposed to the cray balls dance part.

3. Funny sample before dance break. Always a plus in my personal book. Right before the drop I’m like:

4. Crazy dutchy electro break. Always a must in ever growing EDM world.

Jump is one of the few songs on Unapologetic that I like. Sorry RiRi fans, but an album of never ending ballads just doesn’t do it for me. I like a balance. Talk That Talk had a great balance of dance, hip hop, and ballad tracks. Loud had an even better mix, because she still incorporated more of her Caribbean roots. Jump is a crazy dubstep influenced track sampling an older song. Is it good? Yes of course. Is it all original? Meh. Either way, the chorus is catchy, and Mr Sizzle has capitilized on it. My only complaint is that it isnt longer.

YASSSSS.

NEW

KREWELLA.

Making Herstory, these Shemazing ladies werk my ear drums with their dope beats and sensual vocals PER USUAL. Come & Get It is their feature new song from their up and coming remix EP called Play Harder, due out December 10th. I’m already growing harder from the thought.

This track just reeks ear love. Their formula of the rising tempo in their music really makes me happy. I think what i like about this track is that their isnt a build up. It is just like FUCK YOU

COME AND GET IT

IF YOU WANNA LOSE YOUR MIND.

COME AND GET IT.

explosions. constantly. in my ear.

I’m over here being like, I could totally produce something like this. But sadly…

i am only an eel, among clones of Poseidon

This track is fucking free to download. Pick up on that shit, especially if you have never heard of this group given to us by the EDM goddesses.

Oh.

yes.

HUN

TY.

Chelsea Korka is back. The ex Paradiso Girl who slayed my life with her last EP titled E.P (which I am convinced stands for ex paradiso) is back again with another EDM banger.

Coming in hard with some vocal sampling until the break and Chelsea comes in with her insane vocals belting out

REEEEEEAAAACTIONNNN

IS TAKING ME OVER NOWWWWWWWWW

Once that drop comes in. Ho mah lawd.

The horny-synthy beat shuts down hearts basic functions, and snatches them 2 dolla holla wigs right off them basic bitches with their fall back beats. Props to the Mark Rosas man that produced this. Smart to have his name on the single cover. Ill be looking out for him in the future now.

I really am looking forward to a full album from this girl. If she is gonna stick with these EDM bangers, shes good in my book. There needs to be more people leading the charge for it. Remixes don’t have to be the only thing were some insane beats can come in. I’ve already dropped Reaction at the club, and it sounded dope.

I also put her last single “My All” in the guest mix i submitted for the radio this past week. Shyts dope. Keep pumpin out good tunes girl.
