Have you ever thought to yourself: “Hey, I really should listen to more opera” PROBABLY NOT

Maybe you’ve even pondered to yourself being like “Hey, I wish white wigs were still in fashion” ALSO UNLIKELY.

Well here I introduce to you someone who thought just that. Kamaliya’s “Butterflies” brings an extremely unique touch to her new single, some gorgeous operatic vocals, and some old English swag.

The song starts off with the opera vocals over a piano…I honestly wasnt sure what was going on until the neck snapping electric bass came in, as her and her backup dancers (complete with a muscle blondie and a bear cub) come stomping down the hallway. 

The chorus proves to be a cute bubble dance synth with fun lyrics of love and chasing butterflies. Honestly my favorite part is how the opera part comes in over a kick drum. It is like chilling how dope it sounds. 

I was all like

I dont even know what she is singing in the opera part but it sounds hot. Once that chorus comes in with the bass, you can feel this song for sure. It is a pleasant surprise for this Tuesday afternoon for me. I want to drop this track at the club tonight.
