SAVAGE album preview (FULL)
Check this guys. My friend Moxiie has released this sampler for her upcoming album, Savage. The album takes many directions with influences of EDM, tribal and R&B. It sounds like it is shaping up to be a well rounded album. Her first EP, Jungle Pop ripped off 2 dolla holla weaves everywhere with her sound that can perfectly be described as JUNGLE POP. I’m excited for this girl, I hope you can see me spin it one day! <3

Fire Fire
I know my blog is severely lacking in rock, alternative and indie scene, so here is a little fix. As an obsessed fan of Flyleaf, their new album is catching onto me like Fire…fire fire….like FIRE FROM THE TONGUES OF LIARS.
This was one of the songs on the album that I instantly fell in love with. The hook is so catchy. Lacey constantly shows off her beautiful vocals. My only critique of this song is that like “Call You Out” (my other favorite song) i wish it was longer so i could jam more. I’m still happy with it though.
My only critique of the album I would have to say is that they are losing touch with thier roots. Not only is Lacey no longer screaming in any of her songs, the guitar seems to be getting softer too. Songs like “Fully Alive” and it’s awesome guitar is what made me fall in love with Flyleaf. For such a long hiatus since Memento Mori, I was hoping for an album that felt more familar. Although I loved pretty much every song on Memento Mori, it was still lacking in the heavier department. Oh well, it is all still good music. I just miss screaming Lacey.

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (The Re Up)
Oh god it has been ages since I review anything. Oh well, I’m sick in bed so lezz dew it.
Nicki Minaj’s highly uncreatively titled new “album” or as I like to think of it as an EP since its 6 new songs, (not including The Boys) is unsurprisingly epic.
I’m Legit (feat Ciara): I will start with this one since it is my favorite. If you read my last review on Roman Reloaded, you probably know that the crazier Nicki is in a song, generally the more I like it cuz it makes me laugh. Starting with a beat scarily close to Come On a Cone, and a “Snap Backs & Tattoo” sounding moan I was hopeful for a cray balls track….and then Ciara comes in and I’m like
Those twerkin claps. They get me. Nicki then splits her verse between really slow catchy rhymes, to insanely fast lines as the crazy synth comes back in. Most notable slow lines include

This track just screams everything I love about a Nicki song. Hilariousness, dope twerktastic chorus with Ciara, aka America Best Dance Cunt, and a fat beat.
Freedom: The serious track. Freedom sports the slow beat with Nicki spitting some actually dope rhymes. The chorus of this track is actually really pretty. For some reason it reminds me of “Fly”.

Up In Flames: This track is very interesting. Starting off with the choir singing the chorus, and then Nicki comes in over the bass every beat. It’s a slower song, but more on the epic side than “Freedom”. Every time the bass comes back I’m like

Hell Yeah (feat Parker): Now, I’ve never heard of Parker…but he was lucky to get a spot on Nicki’s album. That will get him a lot of publicity. I personally think his voice is kind of strange though.
“SCREAMIN HELLULULULULUL YEARRRRR”
This track is a mid tempo song, with a guitar like background beat. Different sound for Nicki, not my favorite track on the “album” though.
High School (feat Lil Wayne): Lil Wayne makes a shocking appearance. I thought he gave up rap for skateboarding or some bullshit. Oh well. I was expecting more out of this track for some reason. I thought it’d be a bit more crazier. It does have a pretty dope beat though. Lil Wayne just loves throwing in unnecessary lines about eating vagina in every song he is in though. I’m kind of over it Wayne. The beat eventually turns into a Moment For Life- style jewelry box chime beat. The track is alright.
I Endorse These Strippers (feat Tyga & Brinx): Nicki is now releasing public service announcements about causes she is supporting. She is so charitable. Love the beat for this song. Highlight of the song?

Tyga is dope per usual. He has yet to disappoint me. I don’t know who Brinx is either though. Maybe I’m not up on my rap artists. Brinx home suhcurity.
I give this “album” a 7 out of 10.
Pros:
I’m Legit. Period. Thats it.
Nicki is really getting serious with her rapping on these tracks. Getting back to her roots when it comes to how good she used to be with her rhymes.
Cons:
Va Va Voom is not new. It shouldnt be on the second CD.
Unoriginal Title
Only 6 tracks. She pumped out so many tracks for PF:RR that the follow seems lacking in comparison.
The Veronicas

Taking my earbuds by shear surprise, The Veronicas drop a fast paced electro banger. The sisters vocals never disappoint, nor does their extremely unique production. Infusing rock and electronic music has always been the sisters strong suit. This track is more on the electronic side, but is still amazing.
“Im your lolita. La Femme Nikita. When we’re together, YOULL LOVE ME FOREVER”
The 135 bpm kick drum booms in over some wild synth. The melody for the chorus is the same as SOME remix I have or heard, and I cant remember for the dear life of me. It is the most annoying thing ever. I’ll probably eventually find it, and at that time, I will mash them up. If you recognize it and know it, I’ll love you forever if you tell me.
I can’t help but realize how demanding the girls are in this song. Practically belting out YOULL LOVE ME FOREVER. They be sounding a tidbit cray.
Either way, this track is bomb.com. It is the first single off their new album tentatively titled “Life On Mars”. Check it.
Okay. Let’s talk about how every song title sounds like its gonna be the fucking tits. Second, take note of the producers. Dr. Luke, and Benny Blanco are sexual as fuck. Also notice a few Max Martin cameos, who is only one of the biggest pop producers evurrrr. THIRD. Notice Cirkut, the remixer featured on Ke$ha’s remix EP, which he remixed “Blow” and it is only the best fucking remix of it EVURRRR.

BUT IM PISSED THAT WOOHOO WONT BE ON THERE. LIKE WTF THAT SONG SNIPPET WAS DOPE AS PHUCK. THERE BETTER BE A FULL DEMO LEAK OR SOME SHIT.

This EP looks cunty as fuck. Iggy hasn’t disappointed yet. I’m just worried people are going to confuse her with Azealia Banks due to similar style, and name obviously. Either way. IM READY FOR THIS. The EP has no release date as of yet, however I’m sure it will be released sooner rather than later.

She has title the album The Truth About Love. I picture this album to be the EXACT opposite of her last album. Which honestly upset me, because I did LOVE Funhouse. Since she is back with her MOTOMAN. It will probably be about STICKING OUT THE ROUGH PATCH. And stuff like GETTING THROUGH HARD TIMES WITH THE ONE YOU LUV. On that note, I expect her album to be no less than gold, because LEZZBEHONUST. It’s P!nk. She is a goddess.
